I am amazed that so many subdivisions are being built every day and how fast residents are moving into the city. Unfortunately along with this growth comes infrastructure issues like traffic. The City has tried to work on these issues in the past, but I want to propose using technology as a way to leverage our efforts and achieve positive results faster and in a much more cost effective way.
As a technology leader, I have implemented a new process to read and analyze issues in potential bottleneck areas and then implement a technology -based solution at a very low cost. There have been several studies that have been completed on Congestion and Adaptive solutions that are implemented and achieved HIGH efficiency at a very low cost in other cities. Traditional ways to improve traffic, which includes infrastructure upgrades and road widening solutions, take a long time and are very expensive to maintain, as well as add further burden on the city budget.
We need to have a mix of technology to identify, analyze and target the locations fast and efficiently.
